2015-16 Year Review

In order to create real, meaningful, and long-lasting change in Akron, the LeBron James Family Foundation continued its core mission and added new layers of enrichment in 2015. Now in the fifth year of the Wheels for Education (WFE) and Akron I PROMISE Network (AIPN) programs, the Foundation grew to more than 1,000 Akron Public School students from 39 different APS elementary and middle schools. LJFF started the school year off with the monumental announcement of guaranteed four-year college scholarships for all of its current students and those that enter the program in the next 4 years in partnership with The University of Akron. With an estimated 2,300 lives changed and dreams initiated, LeBron and his Foundation continued to roll up their sleeves and engage the community in a full wraparound effort across the Akron community and beyond.
