Always ask yourself, “What am I doing for others?” That’s what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught me.
What are you doing for Mr. LeBron? Well, that’s easy! You motivate me and you make me proud!!! Every time I look down at my wrist, whether it is on the court, in the practice arena, or at home, I am reminded that we are all in this together.
I hope I am giving you guys a reason to be proud as well. Every time my name is called out in the opening intros I feel blessed because I know that I am representing you and all of the kids from Akron.
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I want us to take this week to focus on a part of our PROMISE that is dedicated to his work.
I PROMISE to be helpful and respectful to others.
Each day when we wake up, we are going to take some extra time and think about what we are going to do to be helpful and respectful to others. And then, at the end of the day, we are going to take some time and reflect on how we treated people throughout the day.
I hope you guys have an amazing week. I’ll be thinking about you!
