Kaulig Companies Media Lab in the Upcoming I PROMISE School Will Ignite Students’ Imaginations with Hands-On Learning Opportunities and State-of-the-Art Technology
Kaulig Companies Limited, the single member family office for Mr. Matt Kaulig, and the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF) today announced a new partnership that will bring additional resources and learning experiences to the Foundation’s I PROMISE students and its upcoming I Promise School (IPS). As part of this partnership, Kaulig Companies Limited has committed to sponsoring the development of the I Promise School’s exclusive media lab that will double as an experiential learning center. Designed by local NBC affiliate and LJFF’s official broadcast partner, WKYC-TV, the state-of-the-art media lab will mirror a standard television studio with live broadcasting capabilities and will be equipped with the latest technology that will be readily accessible to the students.
"With the I Promise School’s hands-on and STEM-focused approach to learning, this media lab is an incredible tool that will continue to engage and empower our students in a whole new way," said Michele Campbell, executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation. "With the help of Kaulig Companies Limited and WKYC, our students will get regular exposure to the latest technology, TV production, video editing, and other technical skills they can use outside of the classroom. We want their school days at the I Promise School to be filled with not only the best curriculum possible, but also interesting and valuable learning experiences like this that prepare them for their future aspirations."
Opening in July with its inaugural class of 3rdand 4thgraders, IPS, the brand new Akron Public School tailored to some of Akron’s most challenged students, will take an innovative, STEM-focused, and experiential learning-based approach to urban public education infused with LJFF’s "We Are Family" philosophy.
