Kenmore-Garfield Hometown Hall
While their format has progressively changed thanks to three years of learning experiences, our Hometown Hall Meetings remain a familiar site and programming highlight for our families. On Thursday, I Promise families from Akron Public Schools’ Kenmore-Garfield Cluster – freshly formed through the combination of Akron’s Kenmore and Garfield neighborhoods – gathered in the Kenmore-Garfield High School gymnasium for their first combined Hometown Hall Meeting.
Alongside Foundation community partners, our students, parents, and family members shared a special night of music, food, and camaraderie. The fun night turned momentous for two families when they were called to the stage and rewarded with $1,000 in groceries through the Just Cling It program. In total, LeBron and the Foundation have given away $50,500 in groceries to I Promise families.
