I still feel like a kid when we travel through these massive cities. There are over 20 million people in Beijing…TWENTY MILLION! You should see the crowds that surround our bus… it’s hard to believe they come out to see this kid from Akron!
Ha, I was thinking about that on the LONG plane ride over here. You and I, we are just kids from Akron. When I was your age, I dreamed about playing basketball. I want you to know that whatever you dream of being, whether it is a doctor, lawyer, teacher, mechanic, basketball player, President of the United States of America…you can be it! My PROMISE has taken me all over the globe and there is no limit to where your PROMISE can take you. I am so proud of each and every one of you and I am so excited to watch your dreams unfold.
I am far, far away from Akron but you guys and our hometown are still on my mind. I come to China every year so it is familiar to me, but man, there is no place like home!
I just looked down at my wrist…even in China, I PROMISE!!!
