LeBron Message
Hey guys,
How are all of my I PROMISE All-Stars doing? I miss you guys.
I know you’ve heard me say this before, but everyone – myself included – hits a tough stretch. Well, it’s Friday, March 10, and my teammates and I have played 63 games this season. We have 42 wins and 21 lessons.
I treat each loss as a lesson. Learning lessons makes me a better basketball player and person. How many lessons have you learned this year?There’s no shame in it. It’s the best thing we can do if we want to get better. Every single day is an opportunity to learn something new.
No matter how bad a loss or string of losses, like three in a row or four of your last five, you are one basket away from your next win. That basket won’t come easily. You are going to have to take the lessons you’ve learned to make yourself better so that you can turn things around. I’m so proud of my kids who, after a poor test score, rise up, work hard, and improve on their next test. That’s what we do, right?
I love looking down at my wrists in the middle of a game and seeing, "I PROMISE." It reminds me of you guys and how hard you are working.
