Hey Guys!
I can’t believe it, but the Playoffs are here. We’re back home after tonight’s game to play the Knicks, and then, it’s Playoff time! Take a lesson from me, there are always a lot of ups and downs through the course of a year but if you lean on your friends, teammates, coaches, and family, it will all work itself out. You’re not at the finish line just yet, but I want you to remember that no matter how tough things may get, you will get through it.
I love the Playoffs because it represents a year of hard work. We don’t just wake up one morning and have a spot in the Playoffs. We compete with 30 other professional teams and only 16 of them earn a trip to the Playoffs. The way I see it, the Playoffs are a lot like school. Nothing is given – you have to earn your way just like I do. And much like an NBA season, you can experience highs and lows, but you always have the ability to pick yourself back up. Have we lost games? Yes. Have we lost a couple of games in a row? Yes. Have we worked hard to improve? Yes. Have we become a better team and made the Playoffs? YES! Remember, no matter how bad things get in school, you have the ability to turn your performance around. You’re not in this alone, we’re all here for you. I’m so proud of all of my kids who are working hard and earning good grades and I’m proud of all of my kids who are making the decision to get better.
Now that the Playoffs are here, I like to remove myself from technology and social media. That means I won’t be writing to you guys for a while. It’s very important to me that you know that you will be on my mind, and my heart CONSTANTLY! Whenever you see me on the court I want you to look at my wrist – "I PROMISE". That’s for us.
