There was a long, silent pause as LeBron walked into St. Vincent – St. Mary High School’s LeBron James Arena for the first time.
LeBron finally broke the silence, "Wow…" He stared straight up at the award wall, "Just a kid from Akron man, I’m just a kid from Akron." As his long gait carried him across the shiny wood floor, his eyes zoomed back and forth, "Wow."
After a busy start to the summer, one of LeBron’s first stops was to his alma mater. The LeBron James Arena is the result of a PROMISE LeBron made years ago when he was a student at St. V. "This is for the kids," LeBron remarked when asked why he chose to rebuild the arena.
