PROMISE Kept!
They made a promise to our kids, and they climbed hills, endured extreme weather, and pedaled relentlessly to keep it.
This past month, Matt Geis and his teammate Terry Horner took on the bike ride of a lifetime in the Race Across the West, all in the name of the LeBron James Family Foundation’s kids. With 930 miles and three days of grueling terrain separating the starting line in Oceanside, CA and the finish in Durango, CO, the two men were resilient in their ride for our kids.
Clocking in less than 67 hours and tracking at a pace of 313 miles per day, the dynamic duo tag-teamed the toughest cycling event in the country. As they persevered through swirling winds, temperature swings, and one flat tire, they set an admirable example for all of our kids to work hard and never give up, no matter what.
We are so thankful to Matt and Terry for being an inspiration and a role model for us and for our kids. And that’s what we like to call a PROMISE KEPT!
