The Monday after Thanksgiving is very important to the Akron community for a reason bigger than Cyber Monday. For the past 20 years, Project Ed Bear has held their annual Gala in our hometown of Akron. At this event, kids who are fighting cancer are surrounded by their families and the community, and they are celebrated as the true heroes. This year was special as The LeBron James Family Foundation welcomed the Project Ed Bear kids into the I PROMISE Network. In unison with great pride, the Project Ed Bear kids and LJFF recited their PROMISE and donned the signature PROMISE bands.
