LeBron and the LeBron James Family Foundation were proud to sponsor over 45 runners in the Akron Marathon. The LeBron James Family Foundation participates in the Akron Marathon not as runners, but as PROMISE keepers. The marathon represents the journey our kids are on as they work towards the ultimate goal: GRADUATION. Team LJFF runners represented many walks of life: mothers; fathers; grandmothers; bakers; bankers; nurses; students, and professionals. For each of our runners, regardless of their level of fitness, Saturday was a test. At one point during the race, each runner faced their own personal challenge but they powered through for our kids.
"I PROMISE," said Daniel, breathing deeply and looking at his wrist after finishing the marathon. "I PROMISED I would finish for our kids, that’s what kept me going,"
