This week, the incoming class of 330 Ambassadors is quickly becoming acquainted with their new responsibilities, and with each other, during a team-building experience of a lifetime. Spending two days at Adventures on the Gorge, the local Akron high school students will rely on one another to brave white water rapids and navigate the famed “Timber Trek” course in the dark. In these and other strategic, intense and fun activities, LeBron hopes to forge a family bond that will shine through in everything this group achieves in the community and at the I PROMISE School this upcoming year.

Back in Akron, the 330s will be charged with bringing to life the ambitious plans set for the I PROMISE School’s Embassy that serves the students, staff and families daily. Through The Embassy, the 330 Ambassadors will offer one-on-one mentoring, childcare services for IPS-hosted events, and a fun retreat for students that have accomplished a special milestone in the classroom. Their presence at IPS means even more than role models and mentors – these are young adults that will pour life-changing love, care and support into the IPS students and their families.
To be a 330 Ambassador requires a special individual with the knowledge, the patience, and most of all, the persistence to create real and meaningful change. We’re excited to see the amazing things our new group will achieve on this year-long adventure.
