How are MY kids doing? Man, I miss you guys. Do you know what this week is for me? This week is the start of training camp for my teammates and I.
I PROMISE TO LISTEN TO MY TEACHERS BECAUSE THEY WILL HELP ME LEARN. Whether it is your parents, friends, school teachers, or coaches, our teachers are the most important people in our lives. From my mom to my wife, and from my sons to my teammates, I have always been surrounded by important teachers… in fact, I have a brand new teacher in my life, Coach Blatt.
Coach Blatt is to me what your school teacher is to you. Just as you listen to and learn from your teacher, I am listening to and learning from Coach Blatt: your teachers give you homework, Coach Blatt gives us film to watch; your teachers help you solve math problems, Coach Blatt helps us solve defensive schemes (I’m still working with Coach to get us some snack time though).
This week I want you to focus on identifying all of your different teachers, listening to them, and thanking them for all of their hard work. You guys are some of my most important teachers. You taught me about the importance of PROMISES. Every time I look at my wrist, I am thankful I have you in my life.
