An unwavering commitment to community. Increased opportunities for the youth and families. Creating change and changing lives. These are all staples of the LeBron James Family Foundation’s mission. These are also goals of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
Aligned in our underlying goals and united by our commitment to making a difference, the LeBron James Family Foundation recently teamed up with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s national Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) effort and its work to bridge divides in communities and ultimately create better opportunities for children and families. Also joined by the foundations of Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade, LeBron and LJFF will continue to do its part through its work with the youth in Akron.
To support these efforts, the Kellogg Foundation committed a $1 million grant to split among the players’ causes. This grant will assist LJFF in creating the I Promise School that will provide complete wraparound supports for its students and their families. The school will help hundreds of children mitigate the challenges they are faced with in the classroom and at home and create a safe, supportive learning environment conducive to life-long learning and future success.
As LeBron continues to tackle the problem from the root of the cause, support of partners like the Kellogg Foundation are what make the daily work possible.
