Hey guys,
How are MY kids doing? How are you doing with all of your school work? I’ve been doing some "school work" of my own lately. My teammates and I are in training camp. On Monday, we had our Wine and Gold scrimmage. A scrimmage isn’t an official game; we play against each other but we go through all of our routines and play with referees. Think of it as the practice test leading up to the practice test.
Whether it’s a scrimmage, a practice, or a championship game, you have to go out and play to the best of your ability. You can’t flick a switch and magically have what you need to succeed without putting in the practice and the work to be successful. I need you to take that same attitude into your school work. That’s one of the most important lessons I can teach you.
When your teacher asks for an answer from the class, I want your hand to be the first one up. When the custodians at your school are sweeping up your mess, I want you to be the first one helping them. When your parents ask you to do your homework, I want you to say, "It’s already done." And when your teacher puts the test down in front of you, I want you to say to yourself, "I can do this."
Look down at your wrist. I PROMISE we are in this together.
Have a great week.
Your friend,
Mr. LeBron
